That made me sit up and take notice – Frau Dr. Christine Lemaitre discreetly asked about new building products and construction techniques outside of DIN. The Sustainability Day of the DGNB in Stuttgart. General meeting and award ceremony for new innovative products and processes.

For komsol® Deutschland at the General Meeting and the Sustainability Day in Stuttgart.

Travelling on the slow train from Berlin to the DGNB’s Sustainability Day in Stuttgart. It didn’t bother me that I was travelling for almost 8 hours to the association’s conference and general meeting. I travelled there the day before. My accommodation was the Apartmenthause „CLOUD Nº7“ with suite on the 12th floor. The view over Stuttgart was magnificent.

Addition: The building and especially all the bathrooms were sealed with Innerseal® during construction. The client decided in favour of a non-toxic sealant and since then everything has been absolutely watertight. Today’s SUCON AG took over the sealing. According to the manufacturer, this will remain the case for as long as the building stands.

The 18 June 2024 – DGNB Chairwoman Dr Christine Lemaitre highlighted the following topics in my opinion

1. grandiose – accreditation as a DGNB certification body by the DAkkS – after nine years, the time had come in May 2024.

2. now it’s time for another challenge – DGNB RECOGNISED SUSTAINABILITY RATINGS for your construction financing. I am very excited about our own DGNB standard.

3. thanks also for an important aspect for rapid progress. Allowing new and, above all, strong, non-toxic, international products outside of DIN. That’s marvellous.

Great discussions during the Sustainability Day with Karen Sternsdorff, Hannah Bühr, Maya Worm, Dipl.-Ing. Architect Jochen Zeltwanger, Bernadette Lang-Eurisch, Agam Kalra M. Sc, Damla Potosun-Kerbs, Rolf Messerschmidt, Julian Käß, Dr Pia Krause, Dipl.-Ing. Matthias Fischer, Monika Brodalko, Leonard Kienitz-Roller, Detlev Müller, Max-Frederick Gerken, Simon Mlynek, Susanne Fröhlich, Péter Gyenge, Maya Worm and Max Groß.

For komsol® Germany at the members‘ meeting and the Sustainability Day in Stuttgart. I am curious to see whether the sealing of concrete/stone and mineral building materials for our future generations will be done without toxic construction chemicals. There are alternative products: For over 40 years – non-toxic on a high-quality polysilicate base – replaces construction chemicals by a considerable margin and extends the service life by a factor of 3. Without microplastics, epoxy resins or silanes, for example. Saves CO2 and protects the climate. Diffusion-open and 100% non-toxic. I have been allowed to research and report in my blog in recent years.

Also a big thank you to the managing director and friend of Platin Party. Founder and brand owner of the „Platin Party“ group. My friend drove me through and around Stuttgart in a Porsche. Showed me many exciting places. But that’s another post.
